The Movement Disorders Clinic provides access to doctors specializing in diagnosing and treating movement disorders for assessment and follow-up. The clinic also provides opportunities to participate in research related to movement disorders. The clinic is located in the Neuroscience Ambulatory Centre.

Patient Information
You will be seen in an outpatient clinic setting. You do not stay overnight.
Appointments can take up to one and a half hours. If receiving treatment, your visit may be longer.
Please bring a current list of your medications each time you visit the clinic.
You are welcome to bring a family member or support person to your appointment if you wish.
Team Members
Some team members you may see during your visit include:
- Neurologists specializing in Movement Disorders
- Doctors in training (Residents and Clinical Fellows): See patients to help them learn how to treat individuals with movement disorders
- Clerks/Secretaries: Inform you of appointments and help manage and run the clinic. They will verify your information when you visit.
Referral Process
The Neurology program provides services primarily to Hamilton and the surrounding area. A physician referral is required to be seen by a Neurologist. Referrals must be sent to an individual practitioner. They can be found at the CPSO website. There are no walk in services available. You will be given an appointment date and time.
