Prosthetics & Orthotics

The Prosthetics and Orthotics Program at Hamilton Health Sciences is the largest facility of its kind in Canada. The department has been offering service to pediatric and adult patients for 51 years.  The department is comprised of a mix of clinical, technical and administrative staff which provide service to southern Ontario.

Our Certified Clinicians and Registered P&O Technicians provide customized prosthetic and orthotic solutions that are designed and fabricated at our locations. Using the newest ideas and the most up-to-date features we design specific devices to support patients in achieving their functional goals.

This allows us to work closely with each patient to produce the best results. We work with patients, families and other healthcare providers, from the first assessment through the entire treatment process. This often involves life-long relationships with patients and their families.
