Patient Information

How do I book an appointment?

New appointments are by referral only. Date and time of appointment is sent to the referring doctor who will notify you of your appointment. Follow-up appointments should be scheduled before leaving the clinic if possible. Otherwise, patients can call the clinic to schedule a follow-up appointment.

How long will my appointment be?

Approximately 30-45 minutes

Will I have to come back more than once?

In most cases, patients in colposcopy have 1 or more follow-up appointments.

Do I have cancer?

In most cases no. A common reason for referral is for dysplasia of the cervix. Dysplasia is not cancer, but does require further treatment so that it does not become cancer.

Can I bring someone with me?

Each person can bring one adult person into the room as support.

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Children cannot come into the exam room, but can come to the clinic as long as there is another adult available to care for them while you are with the doctor.
